Back in 2009, I started collecting and researching the fuchsias and other plants that were introduced by James Lye, who was best known as a grower and hybridiser of Fuchsias from Market Lavington in Wiltshire. The collection which consists of around 34 different fuchsias cultivars was recognised by Plant Heritage as a National Plant Collection® in 2012.
As my passion for plants increases, I have now started researching and collecting Sisyrinchium and Oxalis. Which I hope will in time become recognised as National Plant Collections®.
Shows and Exhibits
In 2015 I exhibited the National Plant Collection at the Royal Norfolk Show the exhibit received a Bronze Medal. In 2016 I exhibited at my first RHS show at Hampton Court Flower Show and the exhibit received a Bronze Medal. I returned in 2017 and was awarded a Silver Medal for that years exhibit. I hope to return to RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival at some point in the future.
