Louisa Pleydell-Bouverie was the daughter of Hon. Duncombe Pleydell-Bouverie (1) and Louisa May (2) and was born at Hale House, Hale, Hampshire on 17th February 1811.
She married Hon. Samuel Hay (3), on 2 April 1832 in St George Hanover Square, Westminster, London.
After her husband died in 1847, Louisa moved to Clyffe Hall in Market Lavington (4) Wiltshire (This was a Pleydell-Bouverie family property and occupied at the time by her parents). Louisa inherited Clyffe Hall from her father on his death in 1850 and continued to live at Clyffe Hall until her death on 18 April 1898, aged 87.
Louisa was buried on 22/4/1898 alongside her husband at St. Mary’s (the Parish Church) at Market Lavington.
