We offer a illustrated talk on the following topics throughout the year.
All talks last for approximately 1hr and can be adapted to meet your requirements.
To enquire about availability, discuss your requirements, or find out more, please contact us.
James Lye and his fuchsias – This talk provides an overview of one of England’s leading amateur Victorian horticulturalists, from Wiltshire, who is recognised as a first-class hybridiser (attributed to introducing around 100 new fuchsia cultivars), grower, and exhibitor. Hi is also renowned for growing and exhibiting his fuchsias in the style of a pyramid, in which he excelled.
Equipment at physical talks:
For physical talks, we will bring a laptop, digital projector, and screen (if the venue doesn’t have a screen) with us, but it would be useful if you could provide a projector stand or table for this purpose. We also require a table for information and plants (as we like to bring plants to sell). If the talk includes a demonstration, we would require an additional table to demonstrate from.
Plant Sales Fuchsias at physical talks:
When possible I like to bring plants to talks to sell. Please note that I am in a fuchsia gall mite area and therefore I am unable to guarantee my plants are not mite-free.
